Sandra F. Hill, 77, Warsaw, passed away at 12:02 a.m. Saturday, Jan. 28, 2017 in Hospice Home of Fort Wayne. She was born Jan. 24, 1940 in Warsaw to Maurice and Ruth (Brown) Fidler.

Formerly of North Webster, she was a Warsaw resident since 1980. She was employed by Uniroyal/Spartech from 1971 to 2001. She was a member of Walnut Creek United Methodist Church, the Red Hat Society and the Kosciusko County Senior Opportunity Center all of Warsaw.

Survivors include a daughter, Annette Larson, Warsaw: sons, David A. Dishman. North Webster; Daryle Hill, Warsaw; brother Phil (spouse Barbara) Didler, North Webster; and grandchildren: Robert Dishman, Andrea and Braxton Larson, and Jessi Dean and Aleigh Hill.

Graveside services are scheduled at 11 a.m., Wednesday, Feb. 1 with Pastor Greg Hiatt officiating. No calling hours are scheduled. McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel Warsaw is entrusted with arrangements.

Armin C. Mueller, 84, Warsaw, passed away at 12:10 a.m. Jan. 29, 2017 in Mason Health and Rehab Center.

He was born Dec. 17, 1932 in South Bend to Alfred J. and Angela A. (Aeppler) Mueller. On May 11, 1956 in Warsaw he was united in marriage to Beverly Rapp who preceded him in death on Dec. 20, 1988.

A 1950 graduate of Warsaw High School, he then faithfully served our country in the United States Army during the Korean Conflict at the rank of Corporal and was honorably discharged on February 18, 1955. During his time in the Army he received the National Defense Service Medal and the Good Conduct Metal.

He worked as a Production Manager at R.R. Donnelly’s retiring in 1992. He was a member of the American Legion, VFW, Moose Lodge and Redeemer Lutheran Church.

He is survived by his son, Allan Mueller of Warsaw; daughter, Angela (and spouse James) Perry of Mentone; grandson, Justin R. (and spouse Jennifer) Perry of Warsaw; granddaughter, Kelsey Perry of Mentone; and two great grandsons: Leeland and Matthew Perry both of Warsaw.

He was preceded by his wife and great granddaughter Amelia Rose Perry.

A funeral service will be held at 11 a.m., Thursday, Feb. 2 at Redeemer Lutheran Church with Pastor Mike Mueller officiating. Burial will take place at Oakwood Cemetery with Military Honors by the American Legion Post 49 and the VFW post 1126. Friends may call one hour prior to the funeral.

Doris Katherine Jones

Doris Katherine Jones passed away at 11:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 in Kosciusko Community Hospital. Known by most simply as “Kate,” she was 89 years old at the time of her death.

Kate was born on Nov. 11, 1927 in Warsaw to FB Light and Gladys (Yenor) Light. She spent most of her lifetime in the Warsaw and Goshen areas before settling near Warsaw’s Center Lake. She worked for Mogul Rubber for 41 years.

Kate enjoyed word search puzzles and reading books. She loved the sunshine and spending time outdoors. She especially loved the ocean, the lakes and spending time around the water. She enjoyed travelling, especially with her sisters and family. She was also a member of Warsaw’s American Legion Ladies Auxiliary, Post 49.

Those left with memories to cherish include her son and daughter-in-law, Jim and Judy Brumbaugh of Milford; granddaughter, Shelley (spouse, David) Kuhn of Syracuse; sister Margaret Helton of Warsaw and several nieces and nephews.

Those who preceded Kate in passing include three sisters: Gerry Foles, Ginny Davis and Mary Leake; and a brother, Don Light.

Kate was a vibrant woman who cherished her family and time spent with them. They will celebrate her life in private services held at Titus Funeral Home later this week. Pastor Terry Bradford of First Freewill Baptist Church of Kosciusko County will officiate.

In lieu of flowers, the family has asked that donations be made to K21-Health Foundation’s Cancer Care Fund, a charity which was close to Kate’s heart. Donations may be mailed to PO Box 1810, Warsaw, Indiana 46581-1810.

Robert L. Lockridge

Robert L. Lockridge, 88, passed away at 3:50 a.m. Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at 3:50 a.m. in Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw.

Bob was born March 30, 1928 in Warsaw to John Leslie and Vera (Metz) Lockridge.

He served with the United States Navy during World War ll and on Dec. 8, 1946 S1 Robert Louis Lockridge was honorably discharged.

Bob and Rose Priser were joined in marriage Nov. 1 1947 in Warsaw. They would share 69 years honoring their vows.

A lifetime Warsaw resident, Bob was owner and operator of Lockridge Construction.

He was a member of the American Legion Post #49.  Bob enjoyed hunting, fishing and attending dog shows.

His wife, Rose, survives along with one granddaughter.

Bob was preceded in death by his only child, a daughter, Patty Brumfield who passed away June 21, 1995.  Also preceding are siblings, two brothers and three sisters: Donald Lockridge, Eugen Lockridge, Lucy Baney, Doris Bayne and Mattie Muellen.

A graveside service memorializing Bob’s life will take place at 10 a.m. Thursday, Feb. 2, in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw. Pastor Dave Hummel will officiate and military honors will be presented by Warsaw’s American Legion Post #49 and its VFW Post #1126.

It has been requested that memorial gifts in Bob’s memory be directed to the Animal Welfare League of Kosciusko County, PO Box 1906, Warsaw, Indiana  46581-1906.

Kellie Jean Warner, 50, Warsaw passed away at 7:44 a.m. Jan. 30, 2017, in her residence.

She was born Jan. 10, 1967 in Warsaw to Kelly and Mary (Hall) Coburn. On Aug. 5, 2007, in Claypool, she was united in marriage to Chuck Warner who survives.

A lifetime Warsaw resident, she was a homemaker and a member of the Early Apostolic Bible Training Center. She loved people, loved to sing, was a friend to everyone and tried to help anybody that needed it. Her grandson was the light of her life.

She is survived by her husband, Chuck; her son, Kason Coffelt and daughter, Autumn O’Connor, both of Warsaw; her grandchild, Eli Coffelt; her mother Mary (and spouse Carl) Kendrick of Warsaw; her father Kelly Coburn of Claypool; her siblings, James (and spouse Henrietta) Pennington, Wayne (and spouse Pam) Pennington and Millard Pennington all of Prestonsburg, Ky.; Maudie (and spouse Doug) Elliott of Las Vegas, Nev.; Greg Pennington of Silver Lake; Carl Daniel (and spouse Tammy) Kendrick of Claypool; Jimmy Coburn of Plymouth; Debbie (and spouse Steve) Keen of Lapaz and Barbie (and spouse Dave) Sommers of Plymouth.

She was preceded in death by her grandmother Lizzie Varney, Grandmother Pearlie Hurd and two brothers.

A funeral service will be held at 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 2 at the Early Apostolic Bible Training Center, 6800 S. SR 15 Claypool with Pastor Dean Ealey officiating. Burial will follow at Graceland Cemetery in Claypool. A visitation will be held from 4-8 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 1, also at the church.

Joyce A. Searer, 83, Warsaw, passed away on Jan. 30, 2017 at her home.

She was born on Oct. 27, 1933 in Urbana, Ill. to Clarence and Ruth (Bailey) Wingler.  She was a longtime Barbee Lake area resident.  She was retired from Johnson Controls.

Joyce is survived by her three sons: Don Searer of Warsaw; David (Maribeth) Searer of Warsaw; and Victor (Donna) Searer. Foru grandchildren, ten great grandchildren. One brother, Morris Wingler of Urbana, Ill.

She was preceded by her husband Herbert Searer in 2004, and her daughter Deborah in 2012.

Visitation will be from 4-8 p.m. Friday, Feb. 3 at the Eastlund Funeral Home. Services will be held at 11 a.m. Saturday, Feb. 4 at the Eastlund Funeral Home.  Burial will follow at the North Webster Cemetery / Mock addition.

Jeanette Jane Iseton, 90, Silver Lake, passed at 3:58 a.m., Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 at Kosciusko Community Hospital of Warsaw.

She was born Aug. 28, 1926 in Ottawa, Ill. to Walter and Katherine (Grasmyer) Byers.

She married on April 6, 1943 in Ottawa, Ill. to Robert Iseton, who passed July 10, 1978

Jane was a housewife as well as a housekeeper and babysitter.

She is survived by her daughters: Shirley (Phil) Adams, Warsaw; Connie Wenger, Warsaw; her sons: Edmund (Marla) Iseton, Silver Lake; Bobby Iseton, Silver Lake; 15 grandchildren; 39 great grandchildren; eight great-great grandchildren; sisters: Shirley Holocker and Dorothy Wilkerson, both of Streator, Ill.

She was preceded in death by her parents, husband, two grandchildren a brother and a sister.
Visitation hours will be from 10 a.m.-noon, Thursday, Feb. 2 at Hartzler Funeral Home, Akron. The funeral service will follow at non. Rev. Richard Iseton will officiate. Burial will follow at Lakeview Cemetery, Silver Lake.

Memorial contributions are open to the donor’s choice of charity.

Donald R. “Don” Miller, 85, Warsaw, (Chapman Lake) passed away at 1:15 p.m. on Monday, Jan. 30, 2017 at his home.

He was born on April 1, 1931 in Leo-Grabill to Elmer Ray and Pauline (Lindenmeyer) Miller.

He graduated from Central High School in Fort Wayne, attended Manchester College in North Manchester and moved to the Warsaw area in 1970 from Fort Wayne. He was married on March 9, 1985 in Warsaw to Anna M. “Ann” (Conley) Zachary who survives and retired in 1990 from RR Donnelley in Warsaw as a salesman after 30+ years.

He is survived by his wife, Ann Miller; his daughter, Kathleen (Jerry) Landrum, Winona Lake; two sons: Donald R. (Vickey) Miller II, Claypool; David L. (Barbar) Miller, Cochabamba, Bolivia; step-son, Brett (Courtney) Zachary, Fort Wayne; ten grandchildren and ten great grandchildren; a sister, Jean Johnson, Panama City, Fla.; brother, Gaylord Miller, Columbia City. 

He was preceded in death by his parents, four sisters, and two brothers.

No services will be held. Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd. 15, Warsaw. Owen Family Funeral Home, St. Rd 13 & CR 500N, North Webster is in charge of arrangements.

Patrick Michael “Pat” Mignery, 63, Warsaw, passed away at 1:10 p.m. Tuesday, Jan. 31, 2017 at his home. He was born May 4, 1953 in Elkhart County to Michael Joseph and Meredith Lee (Hess) Mignery.

He graduated in 1972 from Wawasee High School in Syracuse and lived in Kosciusko County for most of his life except for six years in Florida. He was married Oct. 21, 1972 in Syracuse to Nancy Holcomb who survives. He formerly worked at K.M.C. Corp in Warsaw for 21 years as a purchasing/shipping manager, Red Door Furniture in Warsaw, Lowes in Warsaw, and worked on boat interiors and covers. 

He was a member of New Life Christian Church and World Outreach in Warsaw, IN, loved sailing, antique clocks, tinkering in the garage, making furniture, and thoroughly loved his grandchildren.    

He is survived by his wife, Nancy; his daughter, Sarah (Andy) Lockridge, Warsaw; his son, Adam (Shana) Mignery, Rosenberg, Texas; four grandchildren: Dreanna Yoder, Tanner Lockridge, Braden Lockridge and Genesis Mignery; his parents, Michael and Meredith; his brother, Mark (Sandy) Mignery, Cromwell; two sisters, Cindy Davison, Fort Wayne; Michelle Mignery, Syracuse.

Cremation will take place at Cremation Services of Kosciusko County, 4356 N. St. Rd 15, Warsaw, IN. A Celebration of Life Services will be held at 2 p.m. on Saturday, March 11 at New Life Christian Church & World Outreach, 744 S 325 E, Warsaw with Pastor John Lowe II officiating.

Fred J. Matheny, 85, Warsaw passed away at 11:45 a.m. Feb. 6, 2017 in Mason’s Health and Rehab.

He was born in Bourbon Nov. 30, 1931 to Ralph and Esther (Mitchell) Matheny.

On June 22, 1951 in Warsaw he was united in marriage to his first wife Margaret Fuller who preceded him in death on May 4, 2016. On June 9, 1972 he married his second wife Loretta “Skip” Bashore in Rochester who preceded him in death on Jan. 5, 1998.

After living in Rochester, Fred moved to Warsaw. He formerly worked as an auto mechanic and driver for Fort Wayne Auto Auction and Hammel Chrysler/Plymouth in Rochester. He was active with the Fulton County Historical Society, a muzzle loader shooter and an avid deer hunter.

He is survived by his daughters: Jean A. “Jeanie” (and spouse Terry) Craig and Judy Zorn (and companion Rocky Bays), all of Warsaw; his brothers, Don Metheny of Rochester; and Russell Matheny of Bloomington, Calif. He is further survived by his grandchildren: Steve (and spouse Melinda) Zorn, Krista Brown, Melissa Craig and Brian (and spouse Kimberly) Craig, all of Warsaw; along with three great grandchildren, Peyton Craig, Bryson Bailey and Sydney Brown, all of Warsaw.

He was preceded by his wives and sister Freda Warren.

A funeral service will be held 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9, in McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel with Chaplain Denny Bollenbacher officiating. Burial will follow at Oaklawn Cemetery in North Manchester. A visitation will be held from 4-7 p.m. Wednesday, Feb. 8 at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel in Warsaw.

Infant Everett Rhys Brineman, was delivered weighing 3 pounds, 10 ounces at 16 ½” tall at 10:20 a.m., on Saturday, Feb. 4, 2017 at Parkview Whitley Hospital in Columbia City.

He is survived by a loving family including his parents, Roger Brineman, of Fort Wayne and Cameron Garza, of Warsaw; grandparents, Jim and Janice Brineman, of Churubusco; and Lionel and Gina Garza, of Warsaw; great-grandparents, Don Hyndman, of Churubusco, Carolyn Brineman, of Fort Wayne; Lulubelle Eads, of Nappanee and Visente and Dolores Garza, of Warsaw; aunts and uncles, Kimberly and Adam Goble, Brandon Eads, Anthony Garza and Clarice Garza; and three cousins, Avery, Greyson and Alyssa Goble. He was preceded in death by his great-grandparents, Joan Hyndman, David Brineman and Gene Eads.

Funeral services for Everett will be 1 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 at DeMoney-Grimes, a Life Story Funeral Home, 600 Countryside Dr. with a calling starting at 10 a.m.  A private family burial will follow, where Everett will be laid to rest near his great-grandmother, Joan at Eel River Cemetery, Churubusco.

Betty J. Baugher

Betty J. Baugher, 82, Warsaw, died at 9:20 a.m., Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017, at Miller’s Merry Manor in Warsaw.

The daughter of Judson L. and Jettie (Thompson) Vanator, Betty was born Nov. 15, 1934 in Warsaw.  She was a 1953 graduate of Warsaw High School. Also in Warsaw and on May 28, 1954 she and Forrest “Bud” Baugher were joined in holy matrimony. They would share 53 years together until his passing on March 13, 2008.

As a lifetime Warsaw resident Betty was employed by Depuy in the accounts payable department for 19 years.  Prior to Depuy, she also had worked for Miller and Sons in Silver Lake.

Betty loved going for walks.  She enjoyed feeding and watching birds.  She also enjoyed bowling and taking pictures of her family.  Betty and Bud loved to travel.  In earlier years, the family would enjoy camping.  Betty loved her grandchildren and great grandchildren.

Survivors include three daughters: Deb (and husband, Randy) Miller of Winona Lake; Linda (and husband, Kim) Warsaw; and Pam Skinner of Mancos, Colo.; five grandchildren and their spouses: Eric (and Bethany) Miller of Frederick, Md.; Lynnae Miller, Syracuse; Krysta Miller, Winona Lake; Rob (and Charlotte) Grindle, Warsaw; and Lisa (and Blaine) Goon, Warsaw.  Also surviving are six step grandchildren and their spouses: Racquel Tucker, Tabitha Tucker and Ryan Tucker, all of Warsaw; Robin Willoya of Butte, Alaska; Nathen (and Amanda) Skinner and Adam (and Tyana) Skinner, all of Kalama, Wash.; three great grandchildren: Emily, Karter and Cohen, at home; two sisters: Sue Bolinger, Warsaw, and Peggy (and Gene) Myers of Royal, Ark.

In addition to her husband, Bud, also preceding her passing is a son-in-law: Ron Skinner.

Family will receive friends from 4-8 p.m. Thursday, Feb. 9 in Titus Funeral Home, Warsaw.  A service celebrating the life of Betty J. Baugher will take place Friday morning beginning at 11 a.m. Pastor Gary Boschain of First Christian Church, Warsaw, will officiate.  Burial will follow in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

The family has asked that gifts in Betty’s memory be directed to First Christian Church, 115 Park Ridge Drive, Warsaw, IN 46580 or Kosciusko Home Care and Hospice, PO Box 1196, Warsaw, IN 46581-1196.

Infant Russell Dale Grindle

Infant Russell Dale Grindle, the son of Randall Grindle and Amber Burnworth was born Feb. 4, 2017 at Methodist Hospital in Indianapolis, Indiana.

He leaves behind many in addition to his parents.  However, the one he shared the most life with and who survives is his twin brother, Keith.  Additional survivors include two brothers and two sisters. They are: Jorge Burnworth, Ricky Grindle, Calissa Grindle and Breanna Macey, all at home; maternal grandparents: Doyle and Vicki Burnworth, South Whitley; paternal grandparents: Tori and Pat Blocher, North Webster; paternal grandparents:  Steven and Laura Smith, Sandwich, Ill.; maternal great grandparents:  Larry and Lorretta Burnworth, Shipshewana; and paternal great grandfather:  Bill Elliott, Claypool.

Preceding Baby Russell in passing was his maternal grandmother, Jill Cremeens in 2005.

A private family service will take place with Pastor J.C. Sparks of The River Worship Center officiating.  Infant Russell Dale Grindle will be laid to rest in Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.

Larry Lee ‘Batman’ Priser

In loving memory of our hero Larry Lee “Batman” Priser, 52, of Warsaw. He passed away at 3:50 p.m. on Tuesday, Feb. 7, 2017 at St Vincent Indianapolis Hospital, Indianapolis surrounded by those he loved. The love and support from the multitude of people has shown our family just how many lives our hero has touched.

He was born June 20, 1964 in Marion to Larry Lee Priser and Mary (Bartow) Priser.

He was employed at Zimmer Biomet Inc., in the molding department. Larry’s love for family, grilling and golf made him a fantasmagorical person with a zest for life. A collector of all things martial arts related and four legged critters, his home was always open and exciting.

He is survived by the love of his life Noreen (Tedesco) Priser of Warsaw and her parents, Roger(and spouse Bernadine) Blair, of Warsaw; His mother Mary Loving, of Warsaw; Siblings include; Terry (and spouse Leah (Priser) Newcomer of Columbia City, Stephen and Christopher Priser both of Kentucky, Lisa (Loving) Laflin of Indianapolis, JR (and apouse Cheryl (Loving) of Seymour of Indiana, and Jessica Loving of Washington; His children,  Tyler Priser of Illinois, Ricky and Terri Courson of Warsaw, J.J. and Emily Courson of Indianapolis, Sherrie Courson and Charles Laney of South Whitley.

He was the proud grandfather of Zelda, Natasha, Addison, Raelynn and another grandchild due in April. Also survived by his grandmother Vera Zinn; Aunts Genevieve (and Spouse Weldon) Baker, Lisa (and spouse Frank) Zinn both of Peru, Indiana and Barbra Magers of Warsaw. He will be greatly missed by numerous aunts, uncles, cousins, nieces, and nephews.

He was meet by Our Lord, and his father Larry Leroy Priser, his stepfather Thomas Loving, and his brothers’ Douglas and Robert Priser.

In lieu of a traditional service, our family will be hosting a celebration of life event on June 17, 2017.  More information about the event will follow via social media when available.
