Marilyn J. Johnson, 87, of Scottsdale, Ariz., formerly of Minneapolis passed away peacefully on Jan. 15, 2020.
Marilyn graduated from Hamline University in 1953 with a degree in education. She devoted over 20 years to teaching elementary children in both Seattle, Wash. and Warsaw.
Upon retiring from teaching, Marilyn choose a new career in real estate. She was a real estate agent with Better Homes & Garden for over 15 yrs. Marilyn was a longtime resident of Warsaw and former member of Redeemer Lutheran Church in Warsaw, IN.
She is survived by children and their spouses: Mark (Deb) of Phoenix, Ariz.; Bruce (Holly) of Fort Wayne; and Nancy (Tom) Sarkis of Maple Grove, Minn.; grandchildren: Ross, Julie, Autumn, Kyle, Laura, Alexandra and Mitchell along with five great grandchildren, brother; Merle(Carolyn) Knox of Baird, Texas.
Preceded in death by her husband Ken Johnson of 56 years and her son Paul Eric Johnson. Funeral Service Monday, Jan. 27, at 10 a.m. at Lord of Life Lutheran Church in Maple Grove, Minn. with visitation at 9 a.m. at the church. Interment at Fort Snelling National Cemetery.
