Yvonne D. ‘Vonnie’ Cook

Yvonne D. “Vonnie” Cook, 53, Hoffman Lake, Warsaw, passed away at 1:30 p.m., Saturday, Feb. 15, 2020 , in  her residence. Yvonne was born on Dec. 2, 1966, in Warsaw, Indiana to Joseph and Shirley (Finton) Cook.

She was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County. Vonnie worked as a Quality Control Inspector for Fairmont Homes, Nappanee for 30 years. She loved animals and was known to be an awesome baby shower organizer and to have a big heart for her family and friends.

Yvonne is survived by her companion of 20 years, Scott Charlton of Warsaw; mother, Shirley Cook of Warsaw; siblings, Joe (Cheryl) Cook of Etna Green, Vicky (Jeff) Owens of Warsaw, Jeff (Vicki) Cook of Warsaw; step-sons, Tyler Charlton of Nashville, Tenn., Saber Charlton of Fort Wayne; nieces and nephews, Elizabeth (Joe Kirkendall) Owens of Chicago, Ill., Jennifer Cook of Muncie, Erin Owens of Los Angeles, Calif.; Tyler Owens of Los Angeles, Calif.;, Brittany Cook of Muncie, Jeremy McCartney of Warsaw, Alex Cook of Warsaw. In addition, she is survived by great nieces and nephews, Channing and Logan Charlton, Knox Kirkendall.  

She was preceded in death by her father, Joseph Cook, on March 12, 2018, and nephew, Andy Cook.

Friends may visit with the family from 4-8 p.m. on Wednesday, Feb. 19, at  McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Her funeral service will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Feb. 20,  at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Mike Beezley will be officiating the services. Interment will follow at Leesburg Cemetery, Leesburg, Indiana.
