Roberto Cervantes Jr.

With deepest sorrow, the Cervantes family announces that Roberto Cervantes, Jr., their beloved son, brother, family member and friend passed away after a short life of 24 years. Roberto was from Warsaw, Indiana and he passed away at 5:45 p.m. on Friday, Jan. 24, 2020, at Auburn Village Rehab Center in Auburn. His body never recovered from injuries he sustained in a car accident that occurred in May 2018.

He was born on Sept. 13, 1995, in Warsaw, to Maria Inez (Juarez) Cervantes and Roberto Cervantes, Sr.

Roberto was a lifetime resident of Kosciusko County, where he was a 2014 graduate of Warsaw Community High School. Roberto was a member of Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church of Warsaw. His passion was music and he loved to sing and enjoyed being with his friends. He was a very outgoing person, he left behind a life full of good, beautiful, and happy memories for his family to remember him by.

He will be lovingly remembered by his mother: Maria Ines Cervantes; three brothers: Alexi Cervantes, Alan Cervantes, Jovani Cervantes; sister: Joselin Cervantes; and his grandmother: Maria Cervantes, all of Warsaw. He also leaves behind many aunts, uncles, and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Roberto Cervantes, Sr. who died on April 18, 2016 and his grandfather, Ascencion Cervantes who died Jan. 22, 2010.

Visitation will be held from 3-7 p.m. with a Rosary service at 7 p.m. on Wednesday, Jan. 29, at Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw.

His mass of Christian Burial will be held at 10 a.m. on Thursday, Jan. 30, and celebrated by Father Constantino Rocha at Our Lady of Guadalupe Catholic Church, 225 Gilliam Drive, Warsaw. A graveside service will follow at Oakwood Cemetery in Warsaw.

Memorial donations may be directed Redpath-Fruth Funeral Home, 225 Argonne Road, Warsaw, IN 46580 to go towards funeral expenses and would be appreciated by the family.
