Bonnie Shafer, 86, of Warsaw, passed away at 2:48 a.m. Friday, June 5, 2015 at Kosciusko Community Hospital, Warsaw. She was born on Jan. 12, 1929, to Roy and Lois (Arter) Hubbard in Argos.
Bonnie was united in marriage on Sept. 24, 1949 to Paul Shafer in Akron. She has been a Kosciusko County resident since 1963. She retired from Kosciusko County Treasurer’s Office as a Clerk.
Bonnie is survived by a daughter: Paula (Greg) Dearborn, Warsaw; a son: Rick (Robin) Shafer, Warsaw; grandchildren: Vanessa Shafer, Wasaw; Colin Shafer, Milford; and Dustin Dearborn, Union Grove, Wis.; a sister: Virginia Surguy, Warsaw. She is preceded in death by her parents; one brother; her husband; and one granddaughter.
There will be a funeral service held at 11 a.m. Thursday, June 11, at McHatton-Sadler Funeral Chapel, Warsaw. Pastor Jeff Pfeifer will officiate.
Visitation will be held from 4 p.m. until 8 p.m. Wednesday, June 10, at the funeral chapel.
Burial will be Oakwood Cemetery, Warsaw.
Memorial contribution may be given to Fellowship Missions, Winona Lake, or Shepherd’s Ministries, Union Grove, Wis.
